From Swakopmund the C34 salt road runs north along the Atlantic coast: about 75 km to Henties Bay, 120 km to Cape Cross and around 210 km to the Ugab Gate at the southern end of Skeleton Coast Park, roughly 1.5 to 3 hours depending on where you are going.
The route runs in both directions and can start at Walvis Bay or Walvis Bay Airport.
We never drive between sunset and sunrise. Wildlife and livestock on unfenced roads make night driving a risk we do not take.
You travel with a registered professional driver-guide who knows the routes, the parks and the wildlife.
Driving days and stops are timed so you reach every lodge or camp in daylight, with time to settle in.
Our team can be reached around the clock during active trips and transfers.
