The Zambezi Region (formerly the Caprivi Strip) looks and feels nothing like the rest of Namibia. Permanent rivers, woodland and floodplains support elephant, buffalo, hippo, crocodile and more than 400 recorded bird species. It links Namibia with Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe, and is the natural route towards Chobe and Victoria Falls.
Our routes reach the rivers from Etosha via the Okavango valley near Divundu, with a sunset boat cruise on the Okavango River and a morning game drive in Mahango, where sable and roan antelope, red lechwe, sitatunga and large buffalo herds are possible. From the Kwando riverways the road continues east to the Ngoma border and Chobe National Park in Botswana.
