Windhoek
The compact, high-altitude capital — where most Namibian journeys begin and end.
Windhoek sits in a bowl of hills at 1 700 metres, a small capital with good restaurants, craft markets and a relaxed pace. Most safaris start here, and a night at either end of a trip makes the arrival and departure days considerably easier.
